Doc is great, really listens and educates!
Racist, geriatric guy. Kahane spends very little time with patients and has a bad track record. If you need a quick stop to get prescriptions refilled, he’s your guy. Office staff are nice people.
Stay away go to a legitimate psychiatrist. Not a real psychiatrist, has not board certification in Psychiatry. Does not follow through on adjustments, has patients in withdrawal playing games with 2 to 3 days for refill. Knows nothing of most disorders. He is endangering patients.
Dr. Kahane was curt, but professional. His office staff is a nightmare, though. I stopped going when I moved, and after 2 years, I get a call from a collections agency saying I had a debt. I hadn't received a single call, email, or letter regarding a past due bill, so I was shocked. It took 3 weeks for them to get back to me, and Jennifer from the billing department was as unhelpful as could be. She said they called once 2.5 years ago, so I should have known. 0/10 do not recommend!
I would like for this note to serve as a warning to all current and potential patients of Dr. Kahane. I have been seeing the doctor for over a year and I now it feel it appropriate to let others know that I sincerely recommend looking elsewhere for help. The customer service is spotty and as slow as law will allow, he only takes appointments on Mondays, and he never remembers who you are so you have to tell him your whole story every time you come in. Awful.
I did a lot of research for a psychiatrist before finding Dr Kahane. It took me a couple of appointments before I trusted he knew what he was doing. I can say I'm happy with Dr Kahane because he is knowledgeable and I feel better than I have in years. I was so confident I then sent my son to see him. My son has struggled for many years with depression and ADD. My son also loves Dr Kahane as we both feel better than we have in years. I would highly recommend Dr Kahane
If I could give less than 1 star, I absolutely would. Everything from lack of responsiveness, lack of care, ridiculous wait time, etc. I could go on and on. This was easily the WORST doctor experience I've ever had in my life. If I can give any advice to someone considering his services, I'd say RUN.
Ive been seeing this doctor for a year. He has a dry sense of humor but he's a nice guy. Highly recommended as a general psychiatrist. He's not a psychologist.
