They need to start doing their job! An inspection means you need to inspect. Not look for stickers on the engine. They said my brand new timing belt on my Subaru needed changed. All because it didn't have a sticker saying it had been changed. Not all shops put on stickers and stickers can fall off rather easily. Had they bothered to remove the inspection cover they would have seen it was brand new.
RecommendedTook my 99 Dodge Dakota to K&M as it was having some issues, but didn't throw any codes.. Unfortunately they couldn't 100% pinpoint what the cause of the problem was. So they didn't charge me since they weren't sure. Also loved the fact that they just didn't start saying it needed this and that to make money. 100% honest is what they are. Everyone is so nice/friendly here. I will definitely be coming back to the shop if I need any future work done.
Had a vehicle accident while in Portland which ruined the steering gearbox & steering tie rods in my 2004 Ford E150 Conversion Van. Had the van towed to K&M because my son recommended them. The quality of service and mechanical expertise at K&M is exceptional. Had me back on the road in just a few days and even called me while traveling back to Utah to make sure we were traveling without any steering issues. If I lived in Portland, K&M would definitely be the auto service place of business for my 3 vehicles.

We just moved into the Mill Park neighborhood, and I was looking for somewhere that could do an oil change on my 2002 Dodge Caravan. I was also checking them out, because I was on the hunt for a new mechanic. Well, not only did they fit me in the next day, but they completed the service in 35 minutes, including installing all new wiper blades as I requested. I have been to the SE 122nd location about three times for my Ford Escape, as well as my dad bringing his own Ford in. Jerry is always so friendly and helpful. My car died on me, I brought it in, they founs that I jad a bad alternator so they replaced it. Alternator died again the next day so I brought it back. The mechanics spent hours trying to find the problem, driving it themselves until they figured out that the throttle was clogged. They cleaned it out. Got my car passed through DEQ. Very friendly folks, and let me know in detail what I needed to do afterwards to make sure I passed DEQ. Will go to them again.
