I have early onset macular degeneration and asked for a referral to see a retinal specialist at Mayo Clinic. There could be treatment options available there that’s not available here. Apparently, if Dr Rhee wanted me to see a retinal specialist she would have already referred me. This is what I was told by the office staff. Thankfully I can still a specialist at Mayo, it will just be a longer wait. I have been a patient for years, but no longer.
