Best lobster dinner we had on vacation! The oysters were great too, not to mention the great personal service! Learned how to break and eat the lobster the correct way by personal demonstration.
Best lobster roll ever! It was even better than the one at The Clam Shack in Kennebunkport, which is supposed to be the best in New England.
J's is having their 40th anniversary!! The fresh oysters and lobster rolls are our favorites!!

Lobster roll was 🏼🏼🏼🏼! The clam chowder was delicious as well, and the Maine oysters! No frills, but nice and attentive staff. Would definitely go again!
Absolutely deeeelish! Not the newest or fanciest, but truly the friendliest! Right on the harbor. (Habah??) Sandy is right on top of things making sure you don't need a thing. We sat at the bar; it was a lot like Cheers! Most people knew each other and we shared stories and laughs with strangers that became our new friends. I was in Portland on business. I had no idea where to go. A local said to try Js. WOW...what a treat. Very good lobster roll, this place was packed for lunch. Ill be back if I have to go there for business again.
Not my first time but, what can I say? Great food! Great drinks! Great service! and great atmosphere. Fun date night!!
I have been coming here since the early 90s, always great Oysters and steamers. The staff hasn't changed since then either. A sign of a great establishment. I enjoy visiting at least twice a month!
