Food is great. If you don't get there right when they open expect to wait at least an hour. It is well worth the wait though. Waitstaff is friendly and the atmosphere is very friendly. Always busy, so get there early like 11:30 on weekends. Try the crab bie janice it's phenomimal and so are the mussels.
My wife and I were in Portland for 3 days and ate here twice. The Oysters were great raw and rockafeller, the lobster dinner comes with corn and steamers and is also great. I suggest eating at the bar for a local social feeling. A+ in my opinion
Locals are all over this place. Make sure you save room for the cake for dessert. Outstanding
We loved this place! Just spent last weekend in Portland, and this was one of my favorites! Very friendly staff, great food, reasonably priced, comfortable atmosphere, and met nice people from around the country! Can't wait to go back to visit!
Broiled haddock plate has a wonderful light crispy coating and yummy light melt in mouth hint of buttery lemon. I love sitting at the outside tables with a picture perfect view. The servers are so helpful and sweet!
Great oysters and raw scallops. The seafood bouabase was awesome. Great views of the harbor. A must do.
Excellent customer service! Very great food! I would recommend this place to anyone who loves seafood or that visit Maine!
We had an outside table on a gorgeous day!! The Maine oysters were cold and briny, Just the way they should be. The skillet of mussels were outstanding also! Our server, Missy, was attentive and pleasant but not over bearing. She ensured we were not rushed and checked back with us frequently. Overall it was a terrific couple of hours on the waterfront!!
