Dr. Joyce McIntyre put me at ease immediately before the surgery. I felt confident right away that she was accomplished, knowledgeable, kind and with a vivacious personality. She removed a large cyst from my neck in an area with important veins and little adipose tissue. She took her time during the surgery and I am completely satisfied with her work.
Zero stars, TOP SURGERY PATIENTS SAVE YOURSELF: Terrible results and a worse attitude/sense of accountability; the hospital (Umass Memorial) will do everything to protect her not you - She mocked me about my body and said “she couldnt make me muscular” and ignored the kind of incisions I asked for (which was the point of showing her inspiration photos). I broke my nose in May 2024, and had a follow up appointment with her. What others have reported is true. She spent less than / minutes with me and I’m being generous with thd time. She just looked at me, said my nose was great and perfect when I said I couldn’t breathe and told me to take a hot shower. She never looked in my nose or touched it. At first thought they were great, very friendly. But when it was getting close to my surgery, I had no contact with them from the time I scheduled the surgery to a few weeks before hand confirming my pre-op. I waited almost a year for surgery, then come my pre-op, a week before my surgery, I get all the way there, pay the $50 copay, sat in a room for twenty minutes waiting, then they come in just to tell me my insurance was denied.
