I went to JOY today because I wanted to bring someone a special gift. The colors and flavors amazed me. I think the shop itself is super cool. The matcha macaron was delicious. I can't wait to try the violet one and the chocolate one looks superb. Yeah, I got myself six. Happy Day!
Phenomenal macarons & coffee. � The first time I had JOY Macarons was when my boyfriend brought some down to Austin from Dallas. When I went to visit him in Dallas, I insisted we had to make a JOY stop. This time we both got macaron ice cream sandwiches. He had the Galaxy and I had the Triple Threat. Both were out-of-this-world delicious!!! Also, their hot, always freshly brewed coffee is so smooth and great!! The front of store rep was also very polite and gave excellent service!
Amazing flavors, perfect confections, friendly service, cute shop in Oak Cliff (where you can watch macarons and ice cream being created by happy bakers), lovely packaging is the finishing touch. It's a delight to try every flavor, new ones each month. The ice cream macaron sandwiches are a fabulous treat! My favorite ice cream is the mint which is made with fresh mint leaves, and the floral and fruity macarons consistently "Wow!" my tastebuds. Be sure to pick up extra macarons for home and special gift giving!

My daughter and I love Macarons! So much so that I bought her a macaron making kit. She made one batch...they came out great...but took nearly 4 hours to make. Now it's collecting dust. We've bought from Central Market, a local vendor, the kiosk in North Park and most frequently at Mozart Bakery. Joy certainly has unique and interesting flavors but I find the Macarons a bit pricey for their size. However, I am absolutely in love with the ice cream sandwich and am willing to pay that $6. What a fun filled treasure. My sister booked a class for our daughters and granddaughters. We had a wonderful time. The staff were so kind to listen to and fully answer all of our questions. We left with the knowledge and confidence to make our own matrons. We all divided and shared all that we made.
My first time there was AMAZING!!! I got a few flavors but the dark chocolate was my favorite. I will definitely be back. Good job guys.
