Visiting from Detroit, we were staying in Wisconsin Dells for a family vacation. We asked a "local" from the Dells their recommendation for really good, authentic Mexican food. He quickly answered and told us about Jose's. We made the extra 20 minute trip to Baraboo to check it out...and it was SO WORTH IT! Delicious, authentic food...best we've ever had. Special thanks to the owner, Jose, for his great hospitality. He's a wonderful host, so friendly. We had a fantastic experience!
We absolutely LOVE Jose's & the owner of the establishment is great. The food is generally amazing and portions are good for the price. That being said, the past few times our service has been horrible. 2 or 3 Sundays ago we where in waited an hour from the time we ordered (which was probably 30 min after we walked in) to when our food arrived only for one of our group to not have their food so they had to make that meal and bring it out later. Great place to eat. The food was DELICIOUS and the staff were prompt and friendly even durring a busy time.
After being seated, my wife and I had to wait 15 minutes for our waitress to get us drinks. Followed by a 20 min wait to get an appetizer, which was made poorly and had to be redone. And then when our main food came, it was cold and stale. Not sure what happened to this place, but it ain't what it used to be.
Best Mexican food I ever had foods unbelievable great price
This is the best restaurant I've ever been to! The food was amazing and the people there are just so nice and go above and beyond to serve you. And very reasonably priced. I'll definitely be coming back on a regular basis!
The wait for our food was pretty long. The beer I recieved seemed it was in the fridge for a short period of time. Food portions related to price weren't that great. Overall, it was average. Probably won't eat here again.
Excellent food, fast and courteous service. One of the best Mexican restaurants we have been to. Definitely worth going to. Make the stop to eat here, you will be glad you did.
