My best friend and I went on Friday evening on February 20, 2015. We both have gone in the past and we were very satisfied. He ordered a top sirloin steak and I ordered a chicken fried steak. Our plates were very small, had only one side order, no bread or roll, and no salad. My chicken fried steak was actually a chicken fried ground soybean patty with cream gravy on it. This is a major problem for me, because I'm highly allergic to soybeans. My friend's steak was only 1/2" thick and was smaller than a McDonald's meat patty.... read more

The service was fantastic and the food was amazing! The best service!
First time here. Came up from the RGV on Saturday 1/24/15 and gave this place a try. Definitely dig the down home atmosphere of the restaurant. Ordered a large sirloin steak, fat tire beer, and a shot of whisky. Steak was cooked medium with only minor rare cooked spots. Didn't phase me a bit. I will return again.
I have not eaten one bad thing on the menu. The delicious chicken fried steak is yum, the cheeseburger is yum yum, and the grilled trout is yum yum yum. The mash potatoes and green beans are some of the tastiest sides they have there. The delicious corn meal based onion rings are not even greasy. The staff is super friendly and any staff member (not just the person that took your order) will come by and pick up your check and refill your drink. Save room for dessert because it is homemade and quite divine.
Excellent food!! Always prepared when ordered. Awesome onion rings:-). And a waitstaff who pays attention to the customer's need--be it a party of one or a real party of 10!!
