Not only do I find Dr. Joseph Nelson to be a highly trained and competent physician but I find in him an advocate for my total care. He is the physician who suggested I see my cardiologist because he was concerned about my complaints. He made sure I was seen immediately and I had two stents placed. He also sent me to a nephrologist who diagnosed stage three kidney failure. He treated me for a bowel obstruction and with his care I avoided surgery. Thanks

Dr. Nelson is one of the best Gastroenterlogist's I have known & I have had Crohn's Disease for over 45 years., He is caring, easy to talk to, will spend as much time to listen to you and,compassionate about helping his patients. For example, one night when I was in the hospital, I didn't get my first real meal and he went out to find me something to eat and this was almost 11:00 at night.. Like I said he really does care about his patients. I feel very fortunate to have him as my doctor...
Dr. Nelson is such a caring doctor. He listens to what you say and ask questions to help with your problem. I always feel that he gives me all the help and knowledge he has to made me feel better. Dr. Nelson opens the door with with a smile, greets me and when we're through it's the same, I feel like he cares about me as a patient and a person. He is an excellent doctor and I feel lucky that he is my doctor. Thank you.

Dr. Nelson was very attentive, asked a lot of questions and spent quite a bit of time explaining my problem and possible side effects. I was very pleased with his concern about my condition and my understanding what he was saying.
Dr. Nelson is a rare breed of doctor in this day and age. He listens to you and actually cares about his patients. I only wish the rest of my doctors were like him
I've been a patient of his for 23 years . He has done several surgeries on me and worked with 4 other surgeons for more complicated surgeries and issues. I have a complicated GI history and Dr. Nelson has always been able to work through all my issues to find the problem and find a solution to treat the problems. I would highly recommend him.
