Dr. Nelson is one of the few doctors who actually take the time to listen to your concerns and take appropriate steps to help you get results to improve your health and personal life.
Dr. Nelson is very professional and compassionate. He took the time to answer all of my questions and knew the research to back the treatment plan that he recommended for me. I felt very comfortable with his treatment plan for me and definitely appreciated his responses to my questions.
Dr. Nelson is an excellent doctor. He diagnosed my gallbladder as being the source of my stomach problems when other doctors failed. He is friendly and explains things so they are easily understood.
We have been with Dr. Nelson for almost 16 years. Excellent medical treatment. Dr. Nelson is a good listener and great practitioner. I didn't fill in "ease of scheduling urgent appointments", because I've never needed immediate care with this practice.
Worth the wait! One of the best doctors I have ever seen. He is thorough, kind, knowledgeable. He never makes you feel rushed or like a number.
I and my family have been seeing Dr. Nelson since 1985 and have found his care to be excellent. In my opinion, his experience and expertise have led him to make decisions that have saved my life, and I am confident in his care and recommendations. It is my desire for him to remain my doctor as long as that is possible, as I have the utmost confidence in him.
Dr. Nelson and staff continue to be the best gastroenterology department and physician in the Roanoke Valley. Dr. Nelson always listens to the patient and gives his evaluation in terms and examples that you as a patient can understand. Always very understanding of your problems and situations and finds a reliable solution and plan for your getting well. Very compassionate and thoughtful. Spends appropriate amount of time to explain diagnosis and not rushing to get to next patient.
I would highly recommend Dr. Nelson, in a heartbeat! I have found him to be a caring, kind and one of a kind gastro Dr. Having been disappointed with a former gastro Dr., a relative recommended that I try Dr. Nelson. Best advice I ever had! He has proven to be everything I expected and more. He listens, he ask questions and I totally trust his judgement. I dread the day that he retires, as I cannot imagine going to any other gastro Dr. With a value of 1 to 10, he is easily a 10!
