Competent but way overpriced – Based on all the reviews I took a chance and made an appointment for a cut and highlights. My stylist was Vesna who was definitely well experienced and technically competent. I brought a couple photos of the short, layered look I had in mind for my dry, over-processed medium length bob. Renata the Perfectionist! – If you're looking for perfection -- ASK FOR RENATA. I have been seeing Renata for years since I moved to the River North/Gold Coast area. From bikini waxing to the perfect flirty eyebrows-- she is the GURU of all waxers. Fantastic, professional, and makes you feel very comfortable. Danny O - best massage in my life – This is the best massage in Chicago. In an ideal world I would see Danny every week. Never feel stress again! He provides the perfect atmosphere, relaxing, comfortable, a million miles from State Street just outside the door. Danny knows exactly how much pressure to use, where to use it, remembers "where it hurts" and cares how you are feeling. He is low key and professional and knows his business. Magic Fingers – One of the best massage therapists I've come across in years is Danny at Joseph Michael's. Whether it's a hot stone massage, deep tissue or simply a traditional Swedish, Danny has the right touch. He asks you the right questions at the beginning of your session and checks in with you periodically to ensure that the pressure is correct or the stones aren't too hot... but he is not a Chatty Cathy. I strongly recommend Danny... you won't be disappointed!
Friendly staff, fantastic massage with Bobbie – I recently visited the salon for the first time. The women at the front desk were very friendly and efficient. I came for a massage with Bobbie. It was terrific- I left incredibly relaxed.
Best Experience Ever – I have be going to Joseph Michael's for 6 years for exceptional massages with Danny O,the best manicures and pedicures with Maggie,while indulging in a facial with Renata that will leave you feeling 10 years younger.Lastly.Daniel P. that gives me the hair cut that leaves me speechless all the time.
Great Massages, Haircuts, and Nails! – I visited this spa/salon because it is across the street from where I recently moved to. I have had the best experiences there that I am definitely making this "my place!" I saw Layne for a simple trim (she was great, super friendly, and did exactly what I wanted her to); Bobbie for a massage (she was even better than my masseuse at EBC! Excellent cut and color – I visited James for the first time this weekend for cut and color, and love what he did! I have been approached by several complete strangers asking about who does my hair, and I am more than happy to let them know. He took into account my eyecolor, my preferences, and drew inspiration from a photo I brought in. I liked my hair before, but felt there was room for improvement, and he took it to a whole new level!
I went to see Charles for the hair cut and color and it was by far the best service I have ever had. The problem is that Charles doesn't work there anymore, if anyone knows where he works now please let me know. jagoda s
