I have known Dr. Joe for over 25yrs. Yes, there are some problems with the way his office is run, (I worked for him ages ago) but if you can get past that, he is one of the most caring, knowledable physicians I have known. He is what a true Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine is all about. He discovered a life threatening problem of mine and got me directed to the proper Specialty physicians to finish treatment. My wife has been going to DR. Joe for 39 years and I have been going for at least 13 years. And I have never been able to find a doctor nearly as caring and good as Doctor Joe. And we have had are scares of him retiring and are truly regretting the day he actually does. Can't find a doctor better or even as good as him. And the staff always does their best to help out. Yes the waits are long, but well worth it.
He is an amazing man!!! I've been at my worst n my best when I get to see him. I have been seeing him since I was 17 now 50. He is rite there wen you need him the most. BUT the after hours r a huge joke cuz in all these years I have never gotten a call back from him..... Just saying.....
Saw him because recommended by family. I told him about my rare disorder at first he said he didn’t know about it. I thought OK it is rare. Went back he must of done some, minor, research he then told me he didn’t believe this was an actual problem. Didn’t believe it existed. The disorder was discovered in the civil war and is well documented. He just did not want to deal with it. Therefore, it doesn’t exist!

Dr. Jo Is a fantastic doctor, his office staff and receptionist are terrible. If you can't get in on specific dates and times, which are ridiculous considering most schedules. I was on the highest dosage of depression meds and couldn't make an apt that fit "their" time so now I am withdrawing hard, do they care in the least? no. they left me with no options and no meds. don't waste your time here if you want a good office staff and a receptionist who knows to book one apt at a time, not 12
I have waited 3 hrs in the waiting room before then like another hour and in a carp room just so he can push me out the door as fast as he can nice man but doesn't seem to care rather then finding out a issue he gives meds Also be warned they collect copay even when you don't have one
I have been a patient of Dr.Matarazzo since he took over the practice from me.My loyalty to Dr.Matarazzo is due to the fact that he is a thorough, considerate physician who is willing to take the time needed to make sure he is able to adress & treat your individual needs. I have never felt rushed or pressured. Dr.Joe works as your partner in your care & care making decisions. He also, in my experience is conservative in his treatment choices. Not quick to suggest surgery or over prescribe meds.
