Since 1955, Joseph J. Peters Institute has been working to restore hope with dignity by providing expert clinical care for individuals suffering from the effects of trauma and for individuals with a history of sexual misbehavior and/or relational violence. Recognizing that true healing comes when individuals are able to find hope for a better future, our staff seeks to develop that hope through the building of trusting relationships with our clients and through the use of proven evidence-based practices.

I worked for an affiliate company, PHMC, in 2019 and had the displeasure of supporting some employees at JJPI. We supported their electronics. This organization is incompetent and mismanaged. This tax-exempt non-profit organization weaponized the non-disclosure agreement and takes part in criminal investigations. Terrible experience with these people besides running programs which are useless and a waste of time they also don't care about their clients well being or providing or following any of the standards outlined in the American theraputic standards. Furthermore, they've manipulated records, mislead me, lied and conduct business in a predatory fashion as none of the clients there are there of their ownn free will. Honestly I've been here before as a child and was very guarded because I felt like I was a problem child and didn't feel understood nor heard much. I've never gave JJPI a chance mainly because I was always been forced in restricted areas or moving far away. Declared a friend didn't have the issues he had been diagnosed with over ten years ago...and had them thrown off treatment. Refused to give anyone the doctors name and license number
