Expensive, but his work was worth it. Joe did an excellent job and he cleaned up after him self. Joe was also quite personable. I hope to be talking to him in the near future about another job.
Joe is not inexpensive ($250.00 for a half nickel-sized chip in the edge of our new granite counter top), however, with Joe, you get what you pay for, i.e., a professional job done well. Joe is more of an artisan than your typical contractor. He takes great pride in his tools (an expensive, specialized kit that he has) and workmanship. My wife, the "chipper" if you will, was extremely pleased that she couldn't find the chip location after Joe repaired it. Joe did a great job on my countertop. I liked that he did all the work himself from start (quote) to finish (installation). My new solid surface countertop is beautiful (and perfectly level!) and I am elated to finally be rid of my blue formica!
