I have had both RK and LASIK done to my eyes at least two decades before developing cataracts. Doctor Militello explained my situation, because of my two previous surgeries I would not be a candidate for lens upgrades. Just finished my 5 day followup visit for cataract surgery and I am 100% pleased with the results. I have worn glasses for more than 50 years and now see better than I can remember. The surgery is completely painless. You are aware that something is going on but you can not feel any discomfort. When they got me up from the operating table I could already tell that my vision was great. Dr. Militello is very easy to talk to and is very thoughtful answering all your questions. I would very highly recommend him.
I had cataract surgery performed (both eyes) by Dr. Militello and I'm more than pleased with the results. Had a number of visits to stabilize a condition that had gone on too long( my ignorance). Once it was stabilized , Dr. Militello decided that surgery for the cataracts and astigmatism should proceed. All this time all of his office staff were very helpful and pleasant as was the staff at the surgery center, them particularly as this was my first episode and they were very reassuring, patience and explained everything that was going to happen. Staff at Dr. Militello's office and the staff at the Bayonet Surgery & Endoscopy Center were very courteous and friendly, before and after the procedure. Having lens implants in both the left and right eye. Having worn glasses since about the age of fourteen, this is the first time that I'm seeing well enough not to wear glasses. I highly recommend Dr. Militello.
Exceptional Opthomologist. Have been seeing Dr. Militello for approximately 15 years. I have had two cataract surgeries this year and had numerous questions prior to surgery. Dr. Militello took time to explain the procedure, which type of lens would meet my needs, recovery period, etc. He has been consistently professional, knowledgeable, and very caring. Staff is always pleasant and well organized. This office is run very efficiently.
Dr. Militello has been my ophthalmologist since 2005. He preformed my cataract surgery and monitored the optic nerve abnormality in my left eye since I moved to Florida. Even with our move from Spring Hill to Gulfport in south Pinellas county. My wife and I both still prefer Dr. Militello. It's an 80 mi. drive ,but he is worth it.
Staff as well as Doc.were friendly and professional.
