Dr. Slutsky has been treating me for various types of skin cancer for over a year. He is compassionate and thorough in explaining my condition and the various options I have, and carefully answers any questions I may have regarding my care. His staff is attentive, caring and professional. I would recommend him and his team without hesitation.
This was my second Mohs surgery with Dr. Slutsky. As with the first, he and his staff did a fantastic job. Minimal wait time. The staff insure you are comfortable and relaxed. They answer all of your questions and explain what they are about to do, so you have no surprises. The entire Stony Brook Dermatology facility is well staffed and run. Thanks to all.
Dr.Slutsky helped me to understand the procedure. He was extremely thorough and answered all of my questions pertaining to the procedure. The whole office staff I encountered were caring and made every effort to make me feel comfortable. I would recommend Dr. Slutsky to any one of my family and friends.
Dr Slutsky performed Mohs surgery on me in May 2018. His surgery skills, from a patient's perspective, are excellent and the results exceeded my expectations. Dr Slutsky was made every effort to ensure that I understood the procedure and was prepared for each aspect of the surgery. For me that was very reassuring. Also his very capable team of medical professionals were likewise considerate and caring.
Dr. Slutsky removed two cancerous sites on my face next to my ear. His technique is thorough, but the best part was the way he explained exactly what he was going to do and what this ohms surgery was going to do in terms of stopping future growth of the cancer and what this would probably mean about the care that would be needed in my follow up to removing the stitches would be like. No secrets! No hidden information. Put it across to make me feel reassured that I was "in good hands."
My husband has Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease. To further complicate matters he has a clotting disorder impacting the healing process. I can't emphasize strongly enough the care and compassion he received. Dr. Slutsky's ability to explain the process in a way my husband was able to fully comprehend and allow him to take an active, inclusive role in his care was truly remarkable and appreciated. My husband was treated with the utmost dignity and respect he deserves by Dr. Slutsky & all staff.

Dr. Slutsky and his staff are extremely professional with a calm kind demeanor making me feel very comfortable with my Mohs surgery today. He is very talented with stitching - I cant see the scar from surgery 2 years ago on my face. His nursing staff and entire team work together like a well oiled machine - he calls to check on you and just a great guy on top of an excellent Doctor. Anyone looking for a Dermatologist specializing in Mohs should not consider anyone else but Dr. Slutsky
