Would highly recommend Dr. Slutsky and his team. Dr. Slutsky made me feel at ease about the procedure. He explained every step during the procedure. Both The doctor and Raymonda were very caring, professional and addressed all my concerns.
Dr. Slutsky is patient centered, kind and professional. He takes time to be sure the patient understands and is comfortable with the surgery. He has performed multiple Mohs procedures on my face and you would have to look carefully to see any scars.
I was referred to Dr. Slutsky to have a mole/melanoma removed. The first time I met him was the removal appointment. I was very pleased from the moment I met him. He was very patient and informative. He went over everything, what I had, the different treatments, what he was going to do and why. Then he went over what care I had to do afterward which he discussed a couple of times so I didn't even need to read the aftercare instructions (Although I did). The staff was great also, from the front desk to the nurse assisting.
Considering I was having a cancerous lesion removed, I quickly became aware that I was being taken care of by a caring and compassionate doctor and his wonderful staff. Everything about my visit was comfortable and professional. Dr. Slutsky explained everything to me and interactions with his staff was very pleasant. My experience at Stony Brook Dermatology with Dr. Slutsky and his staff was super.

Had slow MOHS surgery done on scalp melanoma. Staff was calming, upbeat without being superficial. Dr. Slutsky explained everything he was going to do in detail. Answered all questions thoroughly. Created a relaxed atmosphere without minimizing the situation. Allowed my wife to stay in room during procedure and encouraged a peek of proceedings.
Dr. Slutsky specializes in Mohs surgery. His skills and his bedside manner are unsurpassed. He sets the patient at ease by explaining each step of the procedure. He is always concerned about the patient's comfort and well-being.
Although Dr Slutsky came highly recommended, I wanted to see what kind of fit he would be with my concerns. Within minutes of meeting him, I knew why I was referred to him. Extremely professional and explained everything in detail. Many specialists are so good in their field they might not have good bedside manner. Dr Slutsky has both.
