Patient, smart, communicator. Absolutely the best at giving shots into the joint.
Was quickly taken in for appt. Dr Spayner was social, informative and didn't why from telling the truth. I am shocked how quickly surgery was scheduled and how accommodating to my schedule. Several nurse friends recommend him and they were correct.
Dr. Spanyer replaced my knee and had one of the best bedside manners I've seen with physicians. I have recommended others to him as my procedure went so well and my family and I were thrilled with his communication.

I am 50 years old. Dr. Spanyer recently replaced "both" of my hips this past summer. I can only say that deciding to select Dr. Spanyer as my Surgeon for this procedures was one of the best decisions and experiences of my life! I can run, play sports, and do things that I haven't been able to do for the past 10 years or so. Not only is Dr. Spanyer an amazing doctor, he is an amazing person and really cares about his patients. I continuously recommend Dr Spanyer to my friends and family.
I was referred to Dr Spanyer by another healthcare professional for my specific needs. He replaced my left knee . His professional knowledge is one of his great qulities. He's easy to understand and took time to explain everything . In this day and age, very unusual for a doctor to visit your room 3 times after surgery in one day. I also have to have my right knee replaced and Dr Spanyer will be the one. I highly recommend Dr Spanyer and his team to everyone. My appreciation aand thanks.
He repaired my broken femur, it was operated by another Dr. in Nov.2014 and had not healed, Dr. Spanyer replace the rod & screwed and cleaned out the bone and set it closer together. That was Aug. the 3, it has already started to heal, this without rehab or hospt. stay. He's going to replace my knee next year. I have already recommended him to a friend. He seemed approachable & caring.
Dr Spanyer is an excellent surgeon. He is very knowledgeable and spent time patiently answering all my questions. He did a total hip replacement for me in Feb. I am out of pain and my recovery has been excellent. He is caring and compassionate. I only had to stay one night in the hospital and was able to do therapy on my own. I was initially concerned that he was young and possibly not experienced enough. I trusted him and I am so happy that I choose him to be may surgeon.
Best ortho dr I have ever met. Did a great job on my hip replacement. Going after cyticica now. Then knees. The man has earned my trust! !!!!
