Dr Spanyer is very calm, patient and thorough. I highly recommend him. But the office/policies need work. Months ago I scheduled surgery for 9/1. Their policy states patients cancel 14 days prior or pay a $100 fee. On Monday, 8/28, my surgery was rescheduled due to a conference. I’m angry and disappointed that the same courtesy was not applied to patients. I now have to struggle to find help because my surgery date changed with short notice. Friendly, knowledgeable, caring, experienced, explains in simple terms that you understand. Showed me, on MRI, the reason for my pain.
I have seen Dr. Spanyer multiple times about my shoulder problem. I keep putting off a shoulder replacement, but after my last consult with him I decided that the time has come to just do it. Dr. Spanyer addressed all of my concerns and put me at ease.
I have been a patient for a few years dealing with osteoarthritis in both knees. I have had shots to help me get through for awhile before I have a knee replacement. The entire staff have been kind and gracious at every visit Dr. Spanyer is a wonderful doctor. It would be a pleasure to recommend him to anyone with this condition

Dr Spanyer is a thorough and knowledgeable doctor well prepared for treatment procedures I believe. He answered all of my questions and did a thorough exam and told me what the course of action should be. He put my mind at ease and I have confidence in him.
The doctor is very friendly, patient and explaining every question you have I would highly recommend this doctor.
Look at his reviews. They're all true. I know 5 people personally that have had fabulous results, knee and hip replacements. Nothing but praise for him. You won't do better. Also he interacts well with people. He's an excellent doctor and a fine man. Can't praise him enough.
