Am fairly athletic 58 year old male. Been to 4 previous orthos because of knee pain which left me hobbling for 5 years. They did not find any structural damage in kners yhat would warrant the pain. Did 3 rounds of physical therapy. That didn't help. Was referred to Dr. Spanyer. As he examined the knees, I explained several ways the knee pain was limiting mobility. Little bit of a long office wait but dr came in quickly when in room and is very good and is very caring
I was seeking a second opinion to explain why I still have knee pain following meniscus surgery in August 2020. Dr. Spanyer identified a spot on my X-ray as avascular necrosis. He clearly explained the condition and options for treatment. Now I have to make a decision about which path I will take. I am confident that Dr. Spanyer will provide the best treatment possible.
