I cannot stress enough that anything to do with spine issues, DON'T go to an ortho! I can't recommend Dr Citow high enough...clearly the best in this field. He's performed 6 surgeries on my severely arthritic spine.

Dr Citow may be a very good surgeon, but I don’t know that because he never operated on me. He really did nothing for me. He is full of ridiculous cliques, if you’ve seen him you know what I’m talking about. He had his PA give me injections into the SI joint in his office, twice. Should not have, because this procedure should have been performed in a sterile surgical setting and it was done both times in the room he sees other patients in. The most pain I’ve ever felt. There are neurosurgeons and then there DR. Citow Dr.Citow answered every question I had, and treated me with greatest care! Prior to the surgery and After the surgery, if I had a concern or his incredible staff, were there to help me out. I would highly recommend Dr Citow and his staff. He is worth the wait!

I have had trouble with severe pain in the buttocks area for last 4-5 years when I would walk for only 3-5 minutes. One surgeon I talked with proposed a significant surgery requiring very envasive surgery with a 3 month recovery time then 3 more months of rehab work. Dr Citow proposed minimally envasive surgery done as an out patient. He said it would tke 1-2 hours and walk out of the hospital 2-3 hours after completion. The results were just as he stated. Best surgeon ever! Got out of the hospital bed and I had no pain! it is worth waiting the three or four months to see him! Very patient man and answered all my questions!

Dr Citow is the best neurosurgeon in Illinois let alone the rest of the country. I will never go too anyone else for neurosurgery

OUTSTANDING! I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!!! Dr Citow performed a minimally invasive spine surgery that two other neurosurgeons said would not help me. They stated I needed a full laminectomy on up to fusions of 5 discs. Dr Citow reviewed my MRI's and suggested a minimally invasive procedure. Dr Citow and his staff are awesome! They were always punctual, and Dr Citow answered every question I had, and treated me with great care! After the surgery, if I had a concern or a worry, his incredible staff, especially Andrew, were there to help me out. I would highly recommend Dr Citow and his staff. He is worth the wait!

I had been experiencing numbness in my legs and feet for over just over a year. I went to Dr. Citow and he did a Pedicle lumbar infusion L4/L5 and it has been great. I have no pain and can now walk without any pain or discomfort. Wished I had seen him alot earlier.
