Dr. Citow is an excellent neurosurgeon. I suffered from spinal stenosis and two cysts in the lumbar region of my spine. Using minimally invasive surgery, he performed a hemilaminectomy and removed both a synovial and tarlov cyst. Now almost 3 months later I have absolutely no sciatica pain down my left leg and few aches in my lower back. I had physical therapy which also helped a lot. Dr. Citow gave me back my life. I am now more active and can enjoy doing the things I previously gave up on because of constant pain.

I have had an excellent experience with Dr. Citow. He performed a hemilaminectomy on my lower back two years ago and an ACDF of C5/6 and C6/7 on my neck one month ago. I received three different recommendations for treatment for my pinched nerve. Dr. Citow took the time to explain why it was clinically indicated for me to have an ADCF surgery as opposed to a Disc Replacement surgery. I am rating Dr Citow with 5 stars. He knew what my problem was the minute he saw my ct scan. I have been in chronic pain for 6 years. My orthopedic dr suggested I see him because all the injections and nerve burning didn't seem to work where I was having pain. Dr Citow corrected my SI joint with screws and I have had no sciatic pain since. There is only surgery pain that will go away and I will be able to move without pain. I only had telephone visit with him but felt confident that it was sufficient. My surgery went well, and my pain is gone. the hospital was not my favorite but the medical procedure recommended by Dr. Citow was perfect. So grateful my pain management doctor recommended him.

Dr. Citow made all my nerves about having surgery at such a young age with a herniated disk at C5/C6. I got the aritifical disk, and can not be happier. He took the time to explain everything, even when I asked so many questions over and over. I am very happy that I chose this surgeon. He went above and beyond and reassured me that I was going to be ok and finally live my life after over a year a pain in my neck and down my left arm. You can not go wrong with him!

My spine condition is extremely complicated. I have degenerative arthritis, pinched nerve roots, compressed and ruptured discs and spondylothesis among other issues collected over a lifetime of sports injuries, hiking falls and other incidents.
