Dr. Jonathan Picard is an outstanding urologist and surgeon who treated my condition with the utmost skill. I highly recommend him!
Dr Picard had reviewed ER paperwork provided by UAB and was prepared for our first meeting. I was impressed with his knowledge of my condition and together worked towards my success.
Professionalism
After receiving radiation and at 4 years post I saw Dr. Picard May 1, 2025 with the complaint of increased bowel movements. I asked if this might be a late effect of radiation and he said no, but see a GI doc. Turns out I have a rectal cancer, and that there is evidence it could be related to my radiation. Better surveillance of my GI track should be part of his practice to avoid what I am now faced with. I conclude his knowledge of the literature could be improved.
Telehealth visit . We discussed myongoing health problems in conjunction with urinary issues.
Doctor Picard is just fine but I had to wait an entire hour in a little room all by myself

When I first met Dr. Picard he was very sincere, very confident, and an excellent communicator! The surgery that he performed was and continues to be a miracle. After three years he is consistently sincere when I see him annually. You can’t go wrong with Dr. Picard.
Dr. Picard has been attentive and engaging. He readily discusses patient concerns and questions about diagnoses, often using analogies to make them easier to understand.
