I was inspired to enter the field of medicine by my family doctor, who was one of the most caring, compassionate and competent individuals I have ever met. My mother was a nurse and pharmaceutical representative, so I spent many hours in doctors' offices, pharmacies and hospitals watching firsthand the selfless care provided by healthcare professionals to their patients in their time of need.
