Great communication from Dr. Hulst. He explained the procedure very clearly and outlined the expectations. I left feeling good about my choice to move forward with the procedure.

He failed to advise me on the possibility of a metal allergy and didn't run any diagnostic tests after severe post surgery problems--he told me I was the type of person who gets a lot of scar tissue--so I had the difficult task of finding another surgeon who would help me, and most won't even see you for year after initial TKR surgery. It turned out that I was allergic to the nickel prosthetic he used on me, so I had to have the prosthetic replaced, which entailed a revision surgery. 1) Dr. Hulst recommended a knee replacement for me when I had an extruding meniscus but did not have bone on bone; there were less drastic remedies I would have pursued if I hadn’t trusted his recommendation or if he had fully disclosed the high percentage of problems that occur, even for relatively young patients in good physical condition. Dr Hultz has replaced two of my hips.. 2.5 years apart. He is fantastic these new hips are better than the originals and the recovery was easy. I have recommended him to many friends and all have thought they received exceptional care
