I had an interesting experience with Dr. Yoon. I was in the preparation room prepared for surgery. Dr. Yoon came to me and asked how I was feeling. I said that I was scared. Aren’t most people a few minutes before being taken to the OR? To my surprise, Dr. Yoon said that if I wasn’t 100 percent confident, he would cancel the surgery. Dr. Yoon was very knowledgeable and honest about my medical situation. He informed me of every potential risk. He is meticulous about his work, and his bedside manner is the best I’ve ever seen. I trust him completely, so much so that he did my second surgery as well! Top notch I refer him to everyone I know who needs any type of spinal surgery! Love him!!!
Visited this doctor for a consult after going to the emergency room for numbness in the saddle region. Yoon had no bedside manner whatsoever. He looked at my MRI for all of 5 seconds. He continued to type and didn't make any eye contact with me. He told me that I didn't need surgery and that I should get an injection and continue physical therapy. Dr. Yoon did a wonderful job with my surgery. He checked on me every day that I was in the hospital. He is a very skilled surgeon. He is very thorough and explained every detail. I am very grateful to him. His staff is fantastic. Katie, his nurse and Vanessa his scheduling assistant were always right there when I needed something, whether it be a prescription or an appointment. They are all very attentive. Called office at my friend and their patients request just to get an outside Specialist Appointment time and date. The Patient is without phone or Email. Staff was as extremely rude and uncooperative as possible. And this appointment was required by Jon Yoon himself for her to be cleared by another Specialist for a second surgery by him. After his first lengthy surgery was a complete failure. The staffer on the phone was condescending and downright nasty
