Keratin Treatment!!!! – This treatment is AWESOME. i love it SO much. basically what they do is wash your hair three times with a clarifying shampoo if your hair is virgin, and twice if it’s chemically treated. then they dry it so it’s about 80% dry, and then they section off the hair and apply the keratin. once this keratin is applied throughout the whole head, the stylist will blow-dry your hair. it will dry rather stringy, but once it is straightened out, it looks great, though doesn’t feel amazing. you leave it in for th... read more

Very disappointed at the Wayzata location – I recently received a foil and cut at the Wayzata location. Susan did my foil and I expected a beautiful color as she was listed as one of the top stylists at the salon. I was very disappointed. She spent almost no time at all consulting with me about what color/ look I was going for beyond "highlights and lowlights" and just started mixing up the color. Inexperienced in Japanese Hair Straightening – If you are thinking of getting your hair straightened and are looking specifically at Japanese hair straightening (also known as thermal reconditioning), I would recommend that you avoid the Jon Charles Salon (in Uptown or Wayzata). Get what you pay for. – Went here for a manicure/pedicure and was not impressed. First impression was that the reception was wearing a dress that barely covered her bottom, and I could see my nail tech's bra (and more) throughout the entire service. The owner's son (probably about 7-10 years old) was running around the salon, and kept poking his head in during my pedicure. Jon Charles is great! – Just got my hair foiled by Jon Charles himself. I am thrilled with the results. I came in asking for a highlight, something appropriate for spring and the color is perfect. It was what I had in mind, but couldn't fully articulate. It definitely brightens up my look. I love a colorist that can also provide guidance and give opinions. He was quick and made it look easy. Kudos! Bravo! – Bravo to Jon Charles Salon for making my first visit absolutely splendid, so wonderful, that I just had to write about. This was the first time that I left salon and didn't want to immediately run home to wash my hair only to re-style it. (Ladies, you know exactly what I am talking about - we've all done at one time or another.) Best hair in all life – I finally found the people that make my hair look amazing. I went to Cheryl for the best cut I have ever had and Stori for the perfect color. They also had a blowdry bootcamp to teach me how to have the look of a real blowout at home . I have never felt that I have looked this good in my life, except for mabey when I was seveteen.

Not What I Had Hoped – I heard about Jon Charles' Salon in a Mpls publication, and believed every word of Jon's passion for personlizing hair-cuts to the person and making my hair scream. My stylist did not ask me if I wanted my hair to scream - and she was completely devoid of personality. I brought two relatively different photos in - asking for pieces of each of the styles.
