Dr Jon Karl found the issue causing my pain others missed! Yes, I had a protruding disc in my L3 area of my back but my worst pain was down in my L5 area. The original x-ray did not show this but afterward, I continued to push for an answer from my main doctors and a new x-ray showed 2 broken screws in my L5 area. Dr Karl knew that area wasn't right from a physical examination and didn't even need the x-ray. Kudos to Dr. Karl
Ended up realizing the real cause of my pain as many other doctors missed it.
Dr. Karl has been my Dr. for a few years now and I have always felt that he was concerned about how I was doing. If I ever have questions or concerns about anything he always answered and listened. I never feel like I'm being rushed. Everyone at Ortho is so pleasant. If you are looking for a good caring Dr. then I would definitely recommend Dr. Karl.

My visit was like usual. Short waiting time, staff is always courteous and professional. My time with Dr. Karl is informative, professional, and very thorough. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and his N.P Magdalena Schwartz. They are the best.
Yesterday I had a visit with my pain management doctor from Ortho Northeast, Dr. Jon Karl. He and Magdalena Schwartz, N.P. are my amazing medical team. I see either one or the other as needed, but the two of them communicate and work together as a team. Both of them listen carefully, respond to any issues, actually "hearing" things that I don't say, and take action. They are two of the kindest medical people I have ever had for medical needs.
