I am relocating to the Lafayette area and called Dr. Jamali's office in an effort to find a good orthopedic surgeon in Contra Costa County. The woman who answered the phone was quite dismissive of me as soon as she heard I was going to pay out of pocket for expenses that Medicare didn't cover. Essentially she told me my out of pocket would be $500 for the consult. I believe she thought that would dissuade me. Fifteen years ago I had both of my knees replaced by Dr Jamali. They were a bit more complex due to previous breaks just below the knees. As others have stated, he was very supportive and kind. He is also confident without being haughty as many Doctors I’ve dealt with. I just went for a check up, and everything is still great! No loosening, no wear of the meniscus, no pain. I am extremely grateful Dr Jamali was the surgeon I chose.
Dr. Jamali is a highly skilled surgeon who is also a careful listener, a compassionate physician and a perfectionist about his craft. He takes the time to explain medical procedures thoroughly and to answer the many questions that a patient might have about joint issues, intervention strategies and surgical procedures. Dr. Jamali is the best doctor. He is so patient and thorough. I interviewed a number of orthopedic surgeons before I decided to have him operate on me. He replaced my hip after discussing all options. It was a decision we made together. He is a doctor who truly listens and cares about his patients.
I recently had hip arthroscopy performed by Dr Jamili. He took his time explaining the surgery and what I might expect! He was genuine, understanding and an outstanding surgeon! I am out of pain for the first time in 8 years! I can't recommend him enough.
Dr Jamli made me feel like I was family , very thorough in explaining what's going on what to expect made me very comfortable and trustworthyDr Jamil performed 7 surgeries and 3 transfusion and all were successful Dr Jamli promised to be take care of my daughter as if she was his .
