CLOSED FOR THE SEASON, Thank you for another great summer! An Outer Banks tradition, John's has been a favorite with locals and vacationers since 1977! Serving Fresh Tuna and Fried Dolphin served with homemade tartar sauce or fresh made cocktail sauce. Also available many flavor of malt, fresh fruit milkshake and other tasty ice cream treats. John's gives free ice cream to dogs, horses, rabbits, skunks and any other type of pet that you would bring to John's would earn you a "puppy cup."

This is one of our favorite places to eat! We hit this place as soon as we hit the OBX! Not only is John one of the nicest people you'll meet he makes the best steak and cheese hoagie, Mahi Mahi baskets ever, and the shakes are awesome! We are addicted also! So thank you John for carrying on the family tradition for all of us to enjoy! Love you! Dave and Terri Williamson

Love this place! Dolphin fish sandwiches and your choice of shake. Yum!
Wonderful staff, food, and overall atmosphere. Friendly people running the place right on the beach road. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the food and shakes. And did I mention, even though the place was slightly busy, we got our food rather quickly. The owner, John, came outside to ask us how our food was. This is the way all businesses need to run.
