CLOSED FOR THE SEASON, Thank you for another great summer! An Outer Banks tradition, John's has been a favorite with locals and vacationers since 1977! Serving Fresh Tuna and Fried Dolphin served with homemade tartar sauce or fresh made cocktail sauce. Also available many flavor of malt, fresh fruit milkshake and other tasty ice cream treats. John's gives free ice cream to dogs, horses, rabbits, skunks and any other type of pet that you would bring to John's would earn you a "puppy cup."

Iconic drive in on the beach that locals and tourists flock to. Well worth the wait in the summer time. Get the Mahi sandwich and a shake, but you can cant go wrong with anything on the menu.

Do yourself a favor and get the fried dolphin sandwich. Hands down, this is one of the best things on earth. The fish is fried golden crispy and cooked to perfection. Milkshakes are amazing too. This is worth the wait. You won't regret it, I promise! John's is an absolute treasure here on the Outer Banks.
