CLOSED FOR THE SEASON, Thank you for another great summer! An Outer Banks tradition, John's has been a favorite with locals and vacationers since 1977! Serving Fresh Tuna and Fried Dolphin served with homemade tartar sauce or fresh made cocktail sauce. Also available many flavor of malt, fresh fruit milkshake and other tasty ice cream treats. John's gives free ice cream to dogs, horses, rabbits, skunks and any other type of pet that you would bring to John's would earn you a "puppy cup."

Every time I come down to the outer banks I make it a point to come here. Last time I came here the road was closed after a tropical storm had just rolled through, but that didn't stop us or anyone else from parking and walking to this awesome little place. The dolphin sub (with cajun mayo) is the best sandwich on this planet and their shakes are heavenly. I introduced my fiance to it last time when we were down over Labor Day weekend and now he's hooked too.

I've had Dolphin sandwiches up and down the East coast. John's has the best ANYWHERE!!! Awesome milk shakes too!!

Absolutely an amazing place to eat and take the family! The Dolphin Sandwich is the greatest sandwich I've ever tasted. It is the most neatest and cleanest place to eat and hang out. Everyone who visits the Outer Banks needs to stop by this John's. I can honestly say I love John's Drive In
