Johnny's is popular for its simple and uncomplicated menu. Packed in the middle of two large French breads, you will find fried food, deli meats, cheese omelets, ham and eggs, and the starch-o-rama or the french-fry po' boy. We had the Johnny' s special dressed oowee it was a huge sandwich!! my daughter and I shared it. Cash only bit we did our homework and knew that...sandwich was messy with the gravy but good. Limited seating, we ended up sharing a table with other people.

This is my go to poboy spot when staying in the quarter. The breakfast is the bomb too. A local spot that no tourist should miss. My favorites the roast beef and the shrimp poboys.

Ordered 1 Oyster poboy & 1 softshell crab pot boy. The bread on both sandwiches was a little hard. Mayo on only one side of the bread ( lazy) and tomato could have been seasoned. They charge you .50 cent to get the lettuce, tomato & Mayo dressing. (Tacky) Oyster poboy had shrimp in it. Good thing I'm not allergic to shrimp. General opinion: very fresh sandwich but, over rated.

This is our go-to place for a po-boy when in NOLA. You won’t find a better po-boy anywhere! The selection is HUGE. I like the shrimp and wife likes the mufalletta. If you’re looking for a “fine” dining establishment, skip going. That leaves room for more people who know where to go for a quality sandwich. The place is old and small (about 30 seats) and almost always packed. Ignore those 2 or 3 star ratings - those folks don’t know what a quality po-boy is all about.
