My love of Pizza began as far back as I can remember. During the 1960’s, my parents Kitty & Peter, would pack 5 kids into the station wagon and drive from Forest Hills Queens down Woodhaven Blvd into Howard Beach for our Friday night pizza tradition, we would go to Pizza City. The entire way we would sing the Pizza Pie City song.! Top NY Pizza – Is free speech great, or what...?! Read the reviews, and we're all entitled to an opinion. Here's mine. I've eaten "NY" pizza from NY to California, and this takes everyone of them outside NY! Not only am I from NY, (Newburgh area), but I love pizza! one of the good guys – to spark6431 in response to your pathedic review.......... here are a few facts......the last pizza given away at 8:15 pm. the line was cut off at 7:15 to allow for a 1 hour wait. We had 19 people not ROBOTS working non stop for 12 hours staight many who donated thier time and resourses to make this happen. Horrible customer relations and less than average food quality. – Being new to the area, I used to buy Johnny's pizza fairly regularly. However, the owner recently did a free pizza day since the Rockies swept the Yankees. On the nightly news he said it would last until 8pm. So I call around 7:30pm and make sure it is still going on and the girl on the phone confirmed. So I drove there which took me about 2 minutes since I live so close. It's ok... – After reading everyone's reviews we decided to try the pizza & post one of our own. We're from the East coast where you can find several authentic NY pizzerias up and down the coast line no matter what state you're in. We ordered an Extra Cheese, Sausage & Pepperoni and a Pepperoni pizza and also a calzone for $42. The pizza was ok, but not authentic. It could use more sauce. The cheese pizza wasn't Extra cheese. Poor quailty – I went there with the expectation this place should have a good pie. It had been awhile, since easting at Johnny?s. I happily entered this small Lakewood restaurant and brought my appetite. Sadly I was disappointed. The quality of the cheese did not taste like I had recalled. Average Pizza – I went in after lunch, the slices looked old so I ordered a small pie. The crust was not crisy and it lacked cheese. I ate the whole thing, don't thing I will be back.

Great Pizza & Garlic Knots to die for! – I love their pizza. I have been going there for a couple years now and there is no change in their pizza. Nice thin crust cooked perfectly, great sauce and plenty of cheese. Everyone I have brought to Johnny's loves it and goes back for more. Try the garlic knots, but beware, because they are addictive! Good services both for pick up and eat in. Everyone is very pleasant even when the phone is ringing off the hook. They stand by their product and service. Pleasant neighborhood place.
