My love of Pizza began as far back as I can remember. During the 1960’s, my parents Kitty & Peter, would pack 5 kids into the station wagon and drive from Forest Hills Queens down Woodhaven Blvd into Howard Beach for our Friday night pizza tradition, we would go to Pizza City. The entire way we would sing the Pizza Pie City song.! Made a return CUSTOMER! – We had dinner here a few nights ago. The pizza was great. The pie had a good balance of sauce and just the right amout of cheese. Oh, how could I forget. The knots were out of this world. John, thanks for the food. We will return!
I loved this place! – We were driving on Wadsworth Blvd. and saw the place. We then ordered medium pepperoni pizza, knots and something to drink. Our dinner was great!!! Thanks, John for the food and conversation. We were not disappointed!
Just aweful- Cardboard slices- the sausage under cooked – I lost 10 pounds eating the sausage pizza. I gave it a try based on the radio commercials, boy they a a bad day.
Better than V's – I love this place. I take my family on the weekends, or have his pizza for the kid?s sleep-overs. We have never had a poorly cooked pie. Johnny is good for our community. It?s nice to have his resultant in the neighborhood. Give it a try.
NO NY PIZZA- OK for Denver pizza – just ok- Step up from frozen grocery store pizza. I would not go out of my way. I would go to the oven.
Won't be back – Nothing special to me. A little expensive for so little cheese and very greasy. Knots where hard. I won't be back, owner did not look happy at all? Must be the cost of flour?
I usually don't write reviews, I usually read them. After reading the reviews of Johnnys, I feel compelled to write my honest opinion. I love this place. The food, the staff, the atmosphere- they are all great! I find myself craving his pizza at least once a week. I have yet to find anyone more genuine than the owner. His New York attitude and his simple generosity have helped more than one charity in the Lakewood area. After all these reviews, all I can say is that it is not only a great pizza find but a community gem.
It's was good. – I enjoyed the take out I had on a Monday. There were plenty of toppings and cheese on the pizza. I was reading some of the other reviews. I can not tell, but it looks like someone really is upset at Johnny. He makes good food, and in the past I've enjoyed our taks about NY. I had never had a bad lunch, or dinner.
Believe the negative reviews- Johnny's Rubber pizza – I read the reviews and wanted to make up my own opinion- wow- the cheese was like rubber- it must of been a been bad night- I glad to get my money back.
