My love of Pizza began as far back as I can remember. During the 1960’s, my parents Kitty & Peter, would pack 5 kids into the station wagon and drive from Forest Hills Queens down Woodhaven Blvd into Howard Beach for our Friday night pizza tradition, we would go to Pizza City. The entire way we would sing the Pizza Pie City song.! tasty pizza – I went on a Friday night on a recommendation from this site. I had some concerns, because of the negative reviews. But I saw some good ones too. I then ordered large cheese pizza with knots. When I brought it home we were presently surprised. The pizza and knots were good. There was a perfect blend of the crisp crust, good tasting tomato sauce, plenty of cheese and not too much garlic (on the knots). Give it a try. I enjoyed it.
Sounds the owner is trying to pump his store – I have read there 4-5 star reviews?? Are you serious? Do you really think this wil bring you business? Who writes about the 2nd location with the address? Good luck you will need.
good slices – We had a small gathering here at Johnny's. The food and service were good. The kids enjoyed the knots and asked for more. I was also happy to hear there is a second location on West 26th Ave...We had a good time, were treated right and will return.
Avoid on Saturday Nights- No service – i waited 30 minutes to be served- pizza was ok- nothing special- costco grade- don'r rush - go tp pizza hut
Good slice – We went there to see why there were some neg. reviews. We enjoyed the pizza and our table was clean. It was not explensive and the service was great.
Keep on driving- look for another pizza joint – My cheese pizza slices were dried up- the tables were not cleaned- it is consistant with the other reviews- keep on truckin -
Was hoping for better. – I always drive by and decided to stop in for a slice. To be honest, I was hoping it would be better. The slices they sell are not like what I remember in New York. The place is not much to look at and it was pretty empty. It wasn't the worst pizza I have had probably somewhere between Dominos and Pizza Hut. Oh well, I'll just keep looking.
It was a good slice. – Went here for lunch a few days ago. The slices and knots were good. I WILL return. Thanks, John. I enjoyed the food.
