Johnny Delmonico's movie set kind of decor comprises a sleek combination of metal and dark brown wood. Crisp white linen covers the tables, and the bar is classic mahogany. The food is unpretentious and direct, right from the entrées like Asian Fried Calamari to Sweet Potato Gnocchi. Beef from the Midwest (aged for 14-21 days) is spiced up evenly and grilled with precision. Yet the favored steaks are Cold Water Lobster or Alaskan King Crab Leg. Parties and events are organized with reservations in advance.

The food and service is what you would expect from a high end restaurant. Perfect.
Such a beautiful atmosphere and great location! Unfortunately this is not the place you think it should be for the price. Not really sure what this joint is thinking. As Rodney Dangerfield once said...
Service was as good as always but our main course steaks were not good at all. I asked for medium and it was closer to well done than even medium well. My wife ordered medium well and it was well done. Just a disappointment. Our other food was fine if not good depending on the dish. It will be a bit for a return as we don’t live in Madison but next time if we have more time and not pressed to get to a show... I’ll be less stubborn and say something.
Excellent steaks (and chicken, too). Adrienne, the manager, helped us celebrate with the best table and chilled champagne ready for us. Great drinks at the bar from David, and awesome treatment by server extraordinaire, Kerry! A classy restaurant with the best staff.
Always excellent and professional service. Special request or dietary needs? They can accommodate. Great cocktails at the bar and easy transition to your table. Bottom line, the majority of the wait staff have been lifers in the service industry. They have been formally trained. Well done!!
Not impressed, Don Shula's is much better. I guess for a small town like Madison, Wisconsin it's a big deal.
My favorite indulgent steak dinner in the area. Steak is always cooked perfectly to order, cocktails are divine, and service is top-notch. I look forward to going as much as possible.
