Bland – I went there for dinner, and the waiter looked surprised everytime we asked for something. Ie, a drink or bread. The shrimp scampi was bland and there was food in the plate that was not on the menu. I would have made a different choice if I had known. The waiter was slow, and the bellini was gross.
amazing country italian – WE recently visited this restaurant and found a variety of great things. From the food to the service we enjoyed every part about it. It has a great feel for every type of event at a good price. The dessert is excellent too!!!!

By Far the best of the chains – Great food (especially the Italian Nachos), great service and great atmosphere. All at an amazingly low price. What more could you ask?
Perfect! Just what Houston Needed! – I called Johnny Carino's (on Wallisville) from work and asked them to fax me a menu, it arrived within minutes! The menu is impressive, offering Homemade Lasagna, (12-layers), Penne Gorgonzola, Eggplant Parmagiana, and Oven Sandwiches among many other GREAT dishes! I phoned in a 'to-go' order, pulled up to the Curb-side Parking area, and was surprised to see that the waiter had just finished bagging my order up. Chain food, and lower then even OliveG. – There was not a single thing interesting or inspiring about the food or service. I wouldn't say the food was bad, but there was just nothing here to set it apart. And it's a shame this website allows such blatant restaurant padding of reviews. I mean, 4 pages of 10's?! Could it be even more obvious?
Great New Italian Place – Johnny Carino's is a Great addition to Houston. The food is wonderful, selection is great and the service and overall value is outstanding! It is a very comfortable place. Go here. It's good. Not trendy, but just plain good!
Chain food supreme – This is just your run of the mill overpriced, mega portions, chain restaurant, I felt like I was in a pig sty, just waitin for someone to through the slop in, at least I could have seen a feedin frenzy then. I felt like thay wanted me in out and paid in under 20 minutes, scripted wait staff and upselling are such a turn off.
Brodie, BAD Service – I have tried Carino's 3 times now hoping for better service. I always leave dissapointed. The wait staff is rude and lazy. There is no reason why an inexpensive resturant has to have such a poor wait staff.
