This is the only commercial airport in Orange County, situated 35 miles to the south of Los Angeles. It has two runways and parking space for over 7,500 vehicles. Love John Wayne, don't appreciate the way my husband and I were treated by United employees yesterday.
Rude rude rude rude airport staff for absolutely no reason whatsoever to me, my friend, and other people!
Compared to LAX this airport is a breeze to get in and out of. I always prefer it since my final destination is close by. Oakland and John Wayne are the two best airports in the state in my opinion.
The new rule is not to have the shoes that your wearing scanned but ALL shoes, so many people that had heels, flip flops or sneakers even packed had to unpack at the line and it was a mess. I get it, I understand it and I'm ok with it, but we should have seen that coming as Americans a long time ago?, or did they just miss that?
Friendly, easy to navigate and a step back in time, in a good way. The friendliness stood out as most refreshing!
