Dr Womack started my visits with great bedside manner and supposedly a good explanation of the bunionectomy surgery; which he calls " minimally invasive ". My surgery was done in November 2019, he inserted three screws and broke several bones, "so my second and third toes would be "in line" with my big toe. In October of 2020 I had to have another surgery to remove the screws due to excruciating pain. Will never recommend Dr.Womack to anyone, not even my worst enemy. I lived in Greenville at the time Dr. Womack supposedly did two bunion surgeries, one in January of 2019 and then my right one in March of 2019, but have since moved north. Dr Womack supposedly removed the bunion on my left foot, which he never did. I have hardware in my left foot and we don’t know why. Dr Womack has preformed 2 different major surgeries on both of my feet. He is one of the kindest souls I have ever met. Dr Womack cares, listens, and explains everything in detail. He is an excellent surgeon, and I highly recommend him to anyone. He is the best!
Dr. Womack did a fine job fixing my left foot bunion issue. After 2nd surgery a month later to correct rt. foot bunion, he informed me the excruciating post surgical pain was due to a "3rd screw" he had placed which, he said "I know you wont be happy with, will continue to hurt, and will have to schedule another surgery in 4 weeks to remove". He destroyed my foot. Had to get another surgeon to fix his mess but sadly it was too late the damage was done. 8 surgeries later infection nerve damage and then find out he did the wrong surgery!!!!
D. Womack is one of the best foot surgeons in the Upstate. He is friendly, thorough, and extremely competent. I would not trust anyone else! He explained the surgery before and after, and I received excellent follow-up care. His staff is also wonderful!
Had a cheilectomy and an akin osteotomy in July. What a well informed experience! A professional competent surgeon with impeccable bedside manners. Took time explaining the procedure, pros and cons of surgery and what to expect post surgery! I am back on my feet in three months, healing as expected and know what to expect in the next three months! Will definitely recommend Dr. Womack and his team!!
Dr. Womack has an excellent bedside manner. I have found him to be consistently patient, informative, compassionate and knowledgeable. The difficult surgery that he performed to get me back on my feet and moving required extensive follow-up and monitoring. Five stars! Dr. Womack knows his stuff! Very professional and knowledgeable. He operated on my left foot and it's now as good as new.
