I have been with Dr. Unison for 20 years. That would be all 6 of my kids and myself. He takes the time to talk with you to make sure you fully understand what may be going on. He has always made us feel welcome and that none of my concerns are silly. I would recommend him to everyone and I have. Thank you for all you have done for the Bratcher's. You are an amazing doctor!

I would not recommend Dr. Unison to any family members or friends. His nurse was taking my vitals and going over my medicine with me, and apparently she wasn’t going quickly enough. Dr. Unison yelled at her in front of me. I thought that was very unprofessional. He didn’t answer all my questions during my visit, and my visit was for a full physical. It was my first appointment with him, and will be my last.

Business response:

We are sorry you were not happy with your experience. We would like to help find a solution. If you could, please provide additional details at assistance@hendricks.org, and we will have the appropriate staff member follow up.

Dr. Unison has a wonderful office staff. He is friendly as well. However, when you do get into see him, make sure you do NOT ask him about anything else pertaining to your health. He will give you a lecture about taking up his time. He is my PRIMARY care physician, but will only address your immediate concern. I recently saw him about an issue, and asked him a couple of questions. I received a lengthy lecture. I’ll be looking for another Dr. btw.. he literally saw me for 5 minutes.

Business response:

We're sorry you are frustrated with your care. If there is anything we can do to assist you more specifically, please email us at assistance@hendricks.org. It is our goal to make sure every patient has a positive experience.

Would NOT ever recommend anyone going to this practice as a new patient. Doc requested blood work to the tune of nearly $900!!! The highest most extensive blood work available & i was NOT informed this type of blood work was being requested. I have to pay $295 of this bill as my insurance did not cover the total when all my life at other doctors all my lab work was 100% covered. I would have thought a doctor would be aware of the extreme cost of what he was requesting & inform the patient!

Dr. Unison has been my primary care doctor for over a decade since moving to the Avon area. I'm 41 & cannot say how pleased I am with everything about him. He's straightforward, listens to all of my concerns & has been very open to trying different medications based in my input. I would Highly recommend if you're looking for a physician that has never shown judgement with concerns brought forward & is ALWAYS willing to listen. A++ an absolute recommend for anyone of any age. He's the best.
