I had a great experience seeing Dr. Shank and his PA Miyoko. They are both very smart but personable. I did not need surgery so I can't comment on that but I do feel like Dr. Shank is up-to-date on the latest evidence-based practice and does not push unnecessary surgery. I would definitely recommend Dr. Shank and Miyoko.
At the end of August of 2021, I started having trouble with my right knee. Those troubles led to my knee and ankle dislocating at the end of September. This resulted in the tearing of my ACL, lateral and medial meniscus, some ligaments in my ankle and breaking my fibula. Dr. Shank really cares for his patients and it comes through when he meets with you face to face. Dr. Shank truly listens to you, and you don't feel rushed or just another number, he is very friendly, warm, & personable. L heel pain from fall. Miyoko (PA) did an outstanding assessment. X-Rays were completed with little delay. The whole process and experience was superior.

Dr Shank and his staff are terrific! My only concern is the long waits in the waiting area for follow up visits. I’ve waited 1.5 hours at times.
Dr. Shank and his team are excellent, from scheduling thru surgery follow up. I had great care for 5 fractures in 3 bones and when I broke some metatarsals years later, I didn’t hesitate to contact the office. They still all provide top notch care and attention to the patient and their needs. Dr. Shank and his team are exceptional.
