About this business
Opened in the summer of 2006 to replace the aging University Hall, the University of Virginia now holds its basketball games, concerts and other events in this 16,000 seat arena. Built almost entirely from a private donation, it takes its name from a former alumni, and not the Revolutionary War naval hero. It shouldn't be hard for fans to find, since it's right across the street from the old facility.

I went there to see Paul McCartney this summer he did a amazing job !!!
Arrive well before concert or event due to poor lighting. Event was a success.
The arena was a nice one, clean, etc. Friendly staff. My only suggestion is a few Porta potties in the parking lot for those who get there early for good parking when the arena has not opened yet
My husband and I love John Paul Jones Arena, and try our best to get in there for at least one concert a year awesome place!
