I went through a trauma in my life that put me in a horrible depression and caused anxiety that literally put my life on hold for months. I was referred to Dr. O'Reardon because of the severe nature of my depression and anxiety. Dr. O'Reardon is a marvelous psychiatrist who is extremely intelligent, insightful and personable. He has helped me overcome severe depression and anxiety and, furthermore, he is very, very generous, which shows me he is a genuinely caring doctor and person.

Dr. O'Reardon is a wonderful doctor. He is thorough, knowledgeable, patient, and compassionate. I came to him during a time of major transition and some associated challenges, and he has listened to all of my needs and shifted my life path for the better. Only see this physician if you have a true chemical imbalance. If not, don't show him ANY sign of weakness -- he's like an alpha dog -- he'll try to use a "strongarm" from of therapy. While that works for some, it is not effective 100% of the time. He reminded me of the bullies that messed with my head my whole life. Plus he has some strange obsession with gabapentin -- a medication that is not well understood, but is used mostly for convulsions in epileptics...sometimes for pain.

Going to Dr. O was one of the best decisions I ever made. He was referred to me as a highly credentialed psychopharmacologist/psychiatrist and it shows in everything he did for me. I was in a very tough situation and had to get medicine straightened out because I was not the person I could be at work, home, in relationahips, etc. and although it took time. He helped me get myself straightened out and i know it sounds corny but i am a happier, more productive person because of his expert care

I have been to 2 previous psychiatrists and neither gave me the evaluation and time like Dr. John. I was misdiagnosed for years and within 1 visit, I was put on the appropriate medicine. I finally feel like myself again! The trust and comfort within my visits are so natural. I am bipolar and highly recommend Dr. John O'Readon. He saved my life!

Dr. O'Reardon is quite capable in what he does. However, he was not able to solve my issues and I ended up spending an awful lot of money in blood tests and prescriptions that didn't work. I think he is a very smart and capable doctor but make sure you know he's very serious. I didn't particularly like his style for someone who deals in mental health. He acts more like a surgeon than a mental health professional. I would not go back.
