I've started seeing Dr. O'Reardon in 2014, after the death of my parents. He is very knowledgeable about pharmacology and had no problem with prescribing Nardil, an MAOI. I'm treatment resistant, and only an MAOI will work in cases like mine. Psychiatrists with less experience are ignorant of why MAOI's are prescribed, and NO PCP will give a prescription for them either. Dr. O'Reardon is a saving grace because he knows his stuff. Scheduling is done by his loyal assistant, Bernadette. She's great! During the pandemic phone se... read more
Dr. O'Reardon is compassionate and knowledgeable. He takes his time thinking about the best course of treatment and never gives up on his patients. He helped me immensely.
Dr. O'Reardon has been treating more for over 5 years and has always been attentive and caring. He always is up to date (or leading) the latest research that enables him to create very specialized protocols that enable his patients to achieve positive outcomes that would not have otherwise been accomplished by most other doctors. His experience with TMS (he ran the FDA study that enable TMS to be covered by insurance) makes him uniquely qualified and one of the most knowledgeable doctors around to create specialized protocol... read more
My husband has been seeing Dr. O'Reardon for about 15 years. We first came across him from a wonderful article in the Philadelphia Inquirer which highlighted his expertise in "Treatment Resistant Depression". At the time, he was at the University of Pennsylvania. The treatment my husband received was steller; Dr. O'Reardon reconciled his medications and sent him to therapy at Penn. Keep in mind that my husband had been to many psychiatrists and therapists over the years with no lasting relief. There was an immediate change f... read more
For over five years, Dr. O’Reardon has been treating me for depression — initially severe, but only mild now. With TMS and his diligence in working with me to ‘get’ my medications ‘right,’ Dr. O’Reardon has been instrumental in significantly improving my quality of life. Additionally, and of considerable importance for a doctor treating patients with depression, Dr. O’Reardon’s bed-side manner is one of the best, if not the best, of any doctor whose treated me or my children — he’s extremely knowledgeable, insightful, person... read more
I have been seeing Dr. O’Rreardon for 4 plus years. He has always treated me with kindness and respect. There have been times when I have wanted/need to adjust my medications. We have talked it over thoughtfully and have come to a plan that works and makes sense. I have always felt that he has my best interests at heart.
Dr. O'Reardon has been extremely helpful in treating my daughter, who has a chronic treatment-resistant depression. We initially saw him after her hospitalization. With TMS and a significant change in medication (based on his re-diagnosis of her) she has improved significantly and is more productive, outgoing and positive. He is kind and thorough. My only critique is that he can be delayed in returning our calls. Other than that, we've been very impressed and thankful for his care. As a mental health professional myself, I c... read more
