My experience with Dr. Clarke has been really wonderful. I have seen him for about three years, after about 15 years of treatment elsewhere at UCSF and with another gastroenterologist in SF. He has been great about regular 3-month follow-up, his understanding of the symptoms and my situation has always been very clear, fact-based and empathetic, he has tried a lot of things that have worked and improved my life significantly. Dr.Clarke is a highly regarded diagnostician ,very pragmatic with an excellent bedside manner. What a great addition to Stanford Gastroenterology practice! He has helped my husband who has been suffering with GI issues and has been misdiagnosed and under-treated for many years.Never in a rush during consultations and ensures you have your concerns addressed ❤️Highly recommend.
I had a procedure scheduled for months with Dr. Clarke. Only a week before the procedure they called and told me that my insurance was not going to cover it and that it would be $17,000. This is something that should have come up months prior when I was first referred from another GI specialist and the procedure was first scheduled.
