I tried to be seen at the OBGYN department at John Muir Health for two months. Over the course of 2 months, I had 3 different appointments scheduled at 2 different locations. My first appointment was at my preferred location and was cancelled. The receptionists, nurses, doctors and security guards are friendly and provide a good service. Easy parking although the spots are pretty tight. It's convenient that there is a LabCorp on site. Deducting 2 stars because of the ridiculous money hungry policies of charging $25 and making you wait 3-5 business days for an LIC 701 form and making you schedule an establishment of care appointment where they do nothing at all except order lab work, before you can schedule a physical exam.

All of them, one by one, are irrelevant here. I had a freaking COUGH that wouldn’t go away and came here FOUR different times. I heard all possible scenarios from post nasal drip to bronchitis! They will give you an XRay and charge you an arm and a leg but they don’t even touch you and examine you. They just write on their computers. I kid you not, if you have the tiniest other option, even if that is to fly to another country, please take that option.

This clinic has serious issues with continuity of care. The doctor I see forgets what was done at the last appointment, even though I’m there every week. It’s frustrating to have to remind them about my treatment plan each time. When I see a different resident, it’s even worse. They don’t bother to read the notes from previous visits. During one visit, the doctor said she would redo my vitals at the end because my blood pressure was very low (100/48), but she never did.
