Very confused by the reviews here. The office looks like a typical medical office. It is no less clean than any other medical office I've been to. The front desk staff was very nice and Dr. Shapiro was exceptional. He was extremely knowledgeable yet able to explain things in a very digestible form. He was very kind, honest, and sensitive to the nature of the news he may have to deliver. He seems to do what he's doing because he actually enjoys it. Horrible experience. At first; a few yrs ago, she was great. The past 6 months have been horrible. Can’t get in, was told “they do not see sick patients and I needed to go to the ER or Urgent care.” Was told my tests results that came back off were normal and couldn’t get help with my glucose issues. She actually accused me of not wanting help because I told her I was already doing what she said and she got made about that and told me to do more of it. I had dupuytren's contracture of the ring and pinky finger on my right hand, my dominant hand. As a self-employed graphic designer, it was a real concern. The work Dr. Ernst did to correct the issue exceeded my expectations. He's a talented surgeon and a very nice person. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. DeMarco repaired my rotator cuff injury from a horseback accident. This was in 2004 and my shoulder is still in excellent shape - better than ever. I highly recommend him as a surgeon. He is very down-to-earth and not at all intimidating. He explains everything he will be doing and why and made what could have been a horrible experience quite lovely. If I still lived in Charleston I would be seeing him for my other shoulder.

did nothing for my wife but put surgery off till she got to weak from the Poison chemotherapy they were putting in her body Which he was more with you more on front to tell my wife that they couldn’t help so we could’ve found somebody that they could help her guess once you have a client you have a client
Excellent on both hands. He knows what he’s doing. I’m surprised I didn’t have to wait longer in the waiting room. He has to be highly recommended. He makes sure what your problem is. He has another doctors opinion by running test. He was friendly. He’s very focused on fixing the problem and he lets you know what he is going to do for your surgery. He did so good the first time I let him fix my other hand. I found him by asking a nurse who she would recommend. They know who’s good. I worked at two different hospitals one out... read more
