When I went to medical school, it was not to make money. Only 25% of the population had health insurance. Physicians' incomes were just average.That situation changed, but my philosophy did not. I have never done an operation on a patient that I would not have recommended for a loved one. I have operated on hundreds of doctors and their families, and countless hospital nurses. The whole experience was much better than I had anticipated due to my age, 88, and having heard of some folks my age who were frightened by gthe thought of surgery. But he and his staff were extraordinary in providing me with pre-operative instructions and post-surgery expectations. They must have had a crystal ball! But his extensive experience truly paid off in makig me comfortable with the post surgery recovery.

I highly recommend Dr. John Clarke and his amazing staff for anyone considering Hernia Surgery. I had a very complicated inguinal hernia, Dr. Clarke and staff walked me thru the steps to prepare for the surgery and what to expect afterwords with true concern for my health. Dr. Clarke performed an amazing surgery for a hernia repair which in return finally gave me relief after 3 Long Years & Other Unsuccessful Attempts. I'm deeply grateful & only wished I'd found him sooner, Great Man!!

Office staff is the best, they were attentive to my concerns and listened to me. Dr. Clarke gave me the information needed to make decisions. After he left the exam room I had more more questions and he came back, graciously listened to me, was unhurried and made sure I had the questions answered.
There is no better thoracic surgeon, or a finer person. I believe he is a gift to all of us.

A good caring old fashioned physician.
I liked Dr John right from the get go. I could tell he's an old school person & Dr. He & his staff are persons of integrity that actually care. He employs nurses with knowledge not techs. Janice seems to be the head nurse, again a person that cares. If need be I will go back. Thank you Dr John & staff. PS: The professionals in pre-op(Palms of Pasadena) were super also.
